Ascend Performance & Nutrition (“the app”) is a personal nutrition tracker. We collect the minimum needed to run your account and store the meals you log. We do not sell your data, show advertising, or track you across other apps and websites.
Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, a password, and whatever name you would like to provide. Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication and are never visible to us or stored on our servers.
Nutrition data you enter. Meals you log, their point values and macro breakdowns, your selected nutrition plan, and your meal spread configuration.
A user identifier. Firebase assigns your account an anonymous user ID. It links your nutrition data to your account and is not shared with anyone.
Stored on your device only. Whether you have completed the tutorial, and your reminder preferences and times. These stay on your device and are not transmitted anywhere.
Your information is used only to operate the app: authenticating you, saving and displaying the meals you log, and calculating your daily points. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond running the app for you.
Account and nutrition data are stored in Google Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication, operated by Google. Google acts as our data processor and stores this information on its servers. Their handling of it is governed by the Google Cloud Privacy Notice.
Access is restricted by server-side security rules so that your account can only read and write your own data.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except Google, as described above, for the sole purpose of operating the app. We may disclose information if required by law.
Export your data. Settings → Export Data produces a CSV of your logged meals for any date range, which you can save or share.
Delete your account. Settings → Delete Account permanently removes your profile, all meal logs, and all meal plans, along with your authentication record. This is immediate and cannot be undone.
Notifications. Meal reminders are optional, scheduled locally on your device, and can be turned off in Settings or in iOS Settings.
Your data is retained while your account exists. Deleting your account removes it as described above. Backups held by Google may persist for a short period under their standard retention practices before being overwritten.
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
If this policy changes materially we will update the effective date above and publish the revision at this URL.
